Acclaimed X-men author Chris Claremont appeared at HOWL Gallery March 20th for a special meet and greet and book signing.  Claremont is best known for his 17 year run on X-men during the 70's, 80's and 90's.  Chris currently writes X-Men Forever among other titles at Marvel.  The book signing was a tie-in with the Fort Myers Reading Festival. A Reading Festival painting by local artist Scott Guelcher was also raffled at HOWL during the book signing.

Art Walk January 1st 2010 - Featuring the Art of renowned fine artist and former Vogue photographer Rene Miville.  The chilly 50 degree weather did not stop the Art Walk community from hitting the streets of Downtown Ft Myers.  Cosmic Mountain performed on the HOWL Gallery back patio at 8pm.

Dia de los Muertos Group Show - featuring over 2 dozen local and national artists!  Artists reception October 30th.  Art Walk Reception November 6th.

October 2nd marked the 1 Year Anniversary of Art Walk and HOWL hosted an opening reception of the Art of Norman Korpi.  Norman is a celebrated fine artist and is most often recognized for his ground breaking involvement in MTV's "Real World" 1st Season.  He was at HOWL for the event from 6-10pm.  Over 3,000 people are said to have been downtown for Art Walk.  Norm's paintings will be available for purchase at HOWL until October 21st, 2009.

Art Walk September 4th, 2009 - Featuring SWFL Lives! 1st Annual Local Artist Group Show.  Rain between 6 and 7pm did not stop Art Walkers from coming to HOWL Gallery.  The Fort Myers Skate Park had a table outside HOWL. Well over a thousand people signed the petition to keep the park open. (Skate Park Website)

SWFL Lives! Opening Reception, August 22nd.  1st Annual local artists group show.  A Non-juried group exhibit showcasing the best new and existing talent in Southwest Florida. Featured artists include David Acevedo, Daniel Calvert, Heather Clough,  T.C. Dorler, Veron Ennis, Doug Heslep, Andy Howl, Kyle Jackson, Matt Lackey, Chet Loggins,  Eve Lynch, Ryan McIntosh, Don Murphy, Crissy Penuel, and others.

Art Walk August 7th 2009 at HOWL Gallery featured artist Daniel Brown's Automotive Expressionist Paintings.  Dan flew down from Ohio for the event and Hotel Indigo put him up for the night.  Art Walk was one of the busiest we have seen (even with an early thunderstorm at 6pm).  We also featured a fantastic barber shop quartet, a performance by the local jam band Perhaps, and an appearance by Spider-man.

HOWL Gallery had a tent at the Rhythm on the River Classic Car Show on July 26th, 2009.  The event tied in with our solo show of classic car paintings by artist Daniel Brown from Troy, Ohio. The event helped raise funds for the family of police officer Andrew Widman who was killed in 2008.

Art Walk reception for True Until Death Rock Poster Show.  Held on July 3rd, 2009,   Art Walk was one of the busiest we have seen the gallery.  Fair weather and the holiday weekend brought people out to HOWL to see some of the coolest art currently on display in Fort Myers.

Artist Chad Beatty held a book signing at HOWL Gallery on Friday, June 26th.  His painting "Mediation" was selected as the cover image on this years "The Year's Best Science Fiction: Twenty-Sixth Annual Collection" Anthology. The book is published by St. Martin's Griffin, and available at major book stores everywhere.

June 20th - July 15th  "True Until Death" features rock poster art by some of the world's best poster artists.  Included in the show are signed prints by Aesthetic Apparatus, Bob Masse, Bridey Bowen (who also tattoos at HOWL Gallery), Leia Bell, Michael Michael Motorcycle, Frank Kozik, Todd Slater, Gary Grimshaw, and many more!  Art Walk reception July 3rd 6-10pm.

Level Nightclub is the home to a new series of paintings by HOWL Gallery/Tattoo co-owner and pop artist Andy Howl.  The paintings are on permanent display at the Club.  Photos are from the paintings debut during the Ed Hardy Fashion Show hosted by Level on May 30th, 2009.

April 21st, 2009. Our Grand Opening Art Show featured some of the best artists in the Fort Myers area.  Spider-Man also stopped by for a suprise photo-shoot with attendees.  Artists on display included Andy Howl, Bridey Bowen, Andrya Campbell, Chad Beatty, Ana Caballero, Michael Damico, Kyle Jackson, and many more!
