HOWL Gallery/Tattoo presents the dark pop-surreal paintings of Pooch, August 3rd during Fort Myers Art Walk.

Lake Worth, FL based painter and tattoo artist Pooch bring his bizarre post-apocalyptic carnival world to HOWL Gallery/Tattoo in August. Michael Pucciarelli, better known as Pooch, was raised on a diet of Ray Harryhausen films, H. P. Lovecraft novels, comics, Walt Disney World and other Florida tourist traps. Pooch paints images that seem to exist in a bizarre afterlife. His art is a visual cocktai

l of these influences—with a shot of lowbrow culture—shaken and stirred, then served up in a souvenir tiki skull on the Day of the Dead. A self-taught artist, he owes much of his painting skills to over ten years of daily tattooing and drawing.

HOWL Gallery will be showing a selection of original paintings and giclee prints available for purchase during Art Walk and throughout August. Art Walk opening reception on Friday August 3rd, 6-10pm.
