HOWL Gallery/Tattoo opens in Fort Myers River District
After more than a year of planning and preparation, HOWL Gallery/Tattoo has opened in the downtown Fort Myers River District. Located between Starbucks and the new Hotel Indigo, HOWL Gallery features original art by local and national artists, prints, posters, books, comic books and more. The gallery also features a high-end tattoo studio with three fine-artist/ tattooists: Andy Howl, Bridey Bowen and Andrya Campbell, all originally from Michigan.
The gallery itself is a beautiful addition to the Fort Myers River District, with 18-foot ceilings, white walls and more than 1,800 square feet of floor space with a unique rock 'n' roll and pop culture aesthetic.
HOWL Gallery has earned a place in the new River District art scene by being heavily involved in the organizing and development of the new Fort Myers Art Walk since its inception in October 2008. The gallery has had a series of temporary exhibits and previews that coincided with Art Walks for the last six months.
